J in Japan ~ a random moment: Last night a drinks vending machine saved my life

This was the drinks machine that was right across the road from our apartment building in Osaka. I had a cold and was in pretty ill health the entire time I was in lovely Nippon and this drinks machine that vended hot lemon saved my life. It was an absolute God send. Every morning when I'd leave, and every night I'd return; I'd nip across the road, chuck 100 yen into the machine and get my hot lemon fix.

This particular drinks vending machine also vended laughs for free, by having 'Calpis' sprawled its forehead. Splendid!
