Whenever I'm going through the months, I find I'm usually only able to do it quickly in Spanish. If I try to run through the months in English I have to think for a few seconds and go brain dead at April.
I took Spanish at secondary school. And months of the year were one of the fundamentals that had to learn alongside numbers. At the start of every lesson the whole class was made to go through the months at least twice before we even sat down. And if we messed up, we'd have to start again. It seems to have worked, because even now I remember the months of the year in Spanish and say them in my head when I'm going through them.
