Arkham city GET!!

I've not even played half an hour's worth of Arkham asylum, yet I've gone out and bought Arkham city. Why? Because I can't have everybody else playing this shit and loving it, whilst I'm not in on the unanimous goodness that is supposedly this game.

Arkham city is well on its way to becoming one of the best reviewed games of the year so far with Yahoo! games giving the game its now Internet infamous 6 out of 5 and a slew of perfect scores keeping the aggregated metacritic score well into the 90's. But this shit doesn't mean much to me. I can be a stubborn bastard, but I have windows when I'm pretty easy when it comes to games. And the proverbial gates of gaming acceptance which I shall now refer to as my gaming legs or perhaps my gaming anus have been wide open after being subjected to this...

...for the past week whilst waiting for my train home after work. Watching Catwoman lay the over-sexed smackdown to Lykke Li's "Get some" and also seeing The Riddler pose like a BOWSSS in his official artwork also played their part in having me lay spread eagle, face down for this game. And therefore, I bought it without so much as actually reading a review of it. Much like I did with Gears of war 3 and also Deus ex before it. I like this new gaming me that just buys games without over-thinking, because other people bought them.
